Hi everyone. My name is Marlo Ramirez. Latina professional, mother, and entrepreneur. I am the Creator and Owner of The Mustard Seed Project.

 

With 15+ years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Development, Coaching, and Employer Branding, I have witnessed many companies making all the decisions when it comes to hiring, promoting, and finding talent.

 

From the endless interview process that doesn't leave space or time to develop an authentic connection, to the overworked recruiter who doesn't have the time to spend more than 6 seconds reviewing your resume. Don't get me started on the outdated performance management processes some companies use. To the dreaded Applicant Tracking System (ATS), or how I refer to it as, The Black Hole. Where candidates never hear back and have no idea why they didn't get the job? Don't even mention all the obstacles moms face when entering the workplace, or moving up in their careers in a male-dominated business, where most of your leaders don't understand or care about who you are.
