Hi Everyone,
Thanks so much for stopping by. My name is Marlo Ramirez, Creator, and Personal Career Coach for The Mustard Seed Project. You are probably wondering what The Mustard Seed Project is all about? I am excited to tell you more. The Mustard Seed Project is a belief based approach to career coaching and job seeking. I believe that your personal beliefs are the true start to career alignment.
Being in Human Resources for more that 10 years, I heard a lot of talk about finding your passion. If you find your passion and just follow it you will find your dream job, and all will be right in the world. Sounds good, right??? Well, what if you are like me, and you don't have one defined passion? What if you are nearing 40 and you want to be a pop star? I mean I have a passion for singing, but, at almost 40, with a daughter under 5, am I going to chase my pop star dreams? Will that pay the bills? Is that realistic? For me, and many others, professional singing isn't a real opportunity I can chase after. That doesn't mean I am not passionate about singing. I am also passionate about make-up, fashion, and interior design. "But, Marlo, there are a lot of legitimate attainable jobs in make-up, fashion, and interior design." Yes, you are correct, but my passion tells me I can be the next "big star," that I can and should be "the one." I am following my passion so I will do everything I can to try and make this dream a reality. Is this the best way to find a career that is both fulling and rewarding? I personally don't think so.
Now don't get me wrong, we all have huge amazing, dreams we should go after, but is there a better way to get there?
Or, maybe you are the opposite. Maybe you landed in a job and it's fine. You clock in, clock out, make suggestions, are respected, but you are bored. You ask yourself "Is this it?"
Passion is fine and dandy, but I personally believe it isn't they way to design the life you want to have or find the career that is best suited to and for you. In all my experience I believe you can be happy in a company that doesn't 100% match your passion, as long as the company is aligned to your personal beliefs and values. Some call it culture fit. I think it is more than fit. On average we spend more time at work than any other place. Why would we not want our careers to line up with our true beliefs, vision, and values?
Friends, I can help you fine tune the belief system you already have and find proven success that will allow you to move your mountains and find true alignment in your career. If you are ready for a change, reach out to me and take the leap. It's time to live your best life. You owe it to yourself. You were made for greatness. I'm looking forward to connecting.
Go and Move Your Mountains!
Love,
